Do You Crochet? Here's an Easy Pattern

Among the strange hobbies Candace has, knitting and crocheting is one of them. We do sell the washable bath scrubbie, but we'd like to give you the pattern as well. Why? Because using one of these will reduce waste and save you money in the long run. Most net scrubbies cost about $1.00 to buy. When they get gross, you toss them out and can't re-use them. These bath scrubbies can be washed and cleaned so you don't have to throw them out.

We're also including a kitchen scrubbie pattern! You'll definitely save money on sponges there and reduce waste.

These are both great beginner patterns. They're super easy. If you can't crochet or want to save some time, grab one of ours instead. They're made from 100% cotton and super soft.


Pattern for Bath Scrubbie:
Hook size: E or F (depends on how tight you crochet)
Yarn: Cotton. Do not use acrylic or wool blends.

Ch 3 and join. That's round 1
Round 2: sc 6 into the second st from hook. Join
Round 3: sc 2 into each st. (12 sts) Join
Round 4: sc 2 into each st. (24 sts) Join
Round 5: sc 2 into each st. (48 sts) Do not join
Repeat round 5 until your scrubbie is large enough. For you. Twenty or so rounds should do it.
Fasten off and make sure your fasten off is tight. Leave a short tail and weave off the ends.

Handle for the scrubbie.
Ch 22 leaving a long tail.
Skip 2 sts and sc into each st
Fasten off. Leave a long tail.
Using a yarn needle, fold the handle in half and sew the two ends together with a tail.
Using the second tail, sew the handle into the hole in the center of the scrubbie.

Kitchen Scrubbie pattern: 
Hook size: E or F (depending on how tight you crochet)
Yarn: Acrylic blends are best. Wool also works.
Note: Each round should be joined to keep it nice and flat. If you don't want it flat, use a stitch marker and do spiral rounds.

Ch 3 and join. That's round 1

Round 2: sc 6 into the second st from hook. Join

Round 3: sc 2 into each st. (12 sts) Join

Round 4: sc 2 into each st. (24 sts) Join

Round 5: *sc 1 sc 2 into next sc* (repeat ** to end of the round) Join

Round 6: *sc 2 sc 2 into next sc* (repeat ** to end of the round) Join

Round 7: *sc 3 sc 2 into next sc* (repeat ** to end of the round) Join

Round 8: *sc 4 sc 2 into next sc* (repeat ** to end of the round) Join

Round 9: *sc 5 sc 2 into next sc* (repeat ** to end of the round) Join

Round 10: *sc 6 sc 2 into next sc* (repeat ** to end of the round) Join

You should have a nice flat kitchen scrubbie. You can keep going increasing the sc by 1 each round if you'd like to make it larger.
